“This is my gift, I take pleasure in capturing the essence of a subject and then projecting it onto paper or canvas. I paint for others to enjoy and be inspired by my gift.”
Alva’s passionate love for drawing and painting has been apart of her life since she was a small girl growing up in Santa Monica, California.
Alva is known and well respected among her fellow artist. Her work has been showcased across the country, in various galleries and art exhibits. In 1998 her work was selected for permanent intsallation at the United Way Foundation of Los Angeles.
